Marketing and Communications Intern

Start date: mid-September 2019
End date: mid-February 2020

Through design thinking, Namahn helps organisations tackle complex problems, particularly those that involve both people and technology. We developed a coherent set of methods to support the co-creative design of solutions.

The responsibility of the marketing and communications intern will be to cover the maternity leave of the full-time marketing and communications specialist.

The current position is part of the sales and marketing team, reporting to the founding partner in charge of business development.

As a marcom specialist intern you will:

  • Be responsible for maintaining the social media and newsletter communications including content creation and coordination, planning and strategy, posting, follow up and reports.
  • Coordinate the crafting of marketing materials, including emails, video/audio/photo content, presentations, brochures and posters.
  • Ensure consistent messaging and branding and help organize customer events and trade shows when needed.

We are looking for a self-starting, performance-driven, team-oriented person who can meet tight deadlines and is looking for a challenging, growth-oriented opportunity.

Strong fluency in English written and verbal communication skills is a must.
Previous professional experience in a similar position is highly preferred.

Namahn is located in a renovated and spacious building in the centre of Brussels, easily reachable by public transport or bicycle.

Please write to jobs@namahn.com explaining your motivation. You should receive a response from Emily within a week.

Internships & theses

Namahn welcomes applications for internships. Interns participate in all Namahn activities and contribute to client projects. They receive an allowance to cover travel and work-related expenses within Belgium, but no salary. We cover one trip to and from Brussels.

We only take on recently graduated interns, or those in their final year. You are welcome to contact us in your final Master’s year.

Namahn’s focus is on the digital — please reflect this in your portfolio.

Belgian labour law makes it very difficult for us to take on interns that are not EU or EFTA citizens. Also, things are much easier if the internship is a constituent part of the curriculum of the academic institution.

We screen and select candidate interns as if they were candidate employees.

Namahn expects non-Dutch speaking interns to spend a considerable amount of time learning Dutch. Namahn provides the means to do so.

We welcome residencies by academics for sabbaticals or final-paper/PhD work. For the time being, we cannot offer financial support.

Please write to info@namahn.com.
