Namahn collaborates in HCD course for human-machine interaction at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven

10/02/2011 - 18:00 - 26/05/2011 - 21:30

Collaborating with Namahn, among others, the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven offers a course on the human-centered design of intuitive man-machine interaction. A well-designed interaction between man and machine is essential for the success of both products and systems.

This course (in Dutch) provides a broad view on the essential steps in the user-centered design process. It makes this process applicable for both hardware and software design. The approach is hands-on and pays attention to the theoretical basis in which human-centered design is grounded.

The course is provided via video conference in both Kortrijk and Leuven. The 14 sessions take place between 10 February and 26 May 2011. Each session starts at 18:00 and ends at 21:30.

Namahn will participate in the following sessions:

  • 10 February 2011: Joannes Vandermeulen with an introductory case
  • 24 February 2011: Mieke Daniels on user and task analysis
  • 3 March 2011: hands-on coaching by Tom Stevens
  • 17 March 2011: Johan Van Maldeghem on the theoretical framework of an Atos Worldline case
  • 24 March 2011: hands-on coaching by Tom Stevens
  • 31 March 2011: Johan van Maldeghem on detailed design
  • 7 April 2011: Johan van Maldeghem joins the panel on detailed design
  • 28 April 2011: hands-on coaching by Tom Stevens
  • 19 May 2011: hands-on coaching by Tom Stevens
  • 26 May 2011: Joannes Vandermeulen on the future of interaction design
